It's been 5 minutes...
Today was...more successful.
I employed the strategy of We'll Try Again in 5 Minutes (Does it count as a strategy if it's a Hail Mary, tips-of-your-fingernails, point-of-frustration, last ditch effort? Let's just say it does.). It worked, but with a caveat...it still felt like a threat because the students felt like if they didn't do the work, they would not be allowed to go to PE. Truthfully, I don't even want it to matter that they felt "threatened."
But it does.
Tomorrow is another day. I want to build on today's success (Student: "The day goes really fast when you work the whole time!")
And remember that kindness thing? Well, we have some opportunities for growth, there!
